Our expertise was developed on-farm in real world conditions. During his time as a large irrigated table and processing potato grower, Precision Land Solutions Owner, Chris Unrau, held various positions such as agronomist, project manager, and farm manager. He implemented several major land enhancement initiatives – including nearly 4,000 acres of tile drainage, 5,000 acres of land levelling, and several major irrigation and building projects. In 2006, Chris decided to leave the hands-on management of agriculture to pursue a new business venture – Precision Land Solutions, specializing in surface and tile drainage.
As the demand for tile drainage grew, so did Precision Land Solutions – growing the operation to 4 tile plows, five scrapers, a full support team and office staff. In 2013, office headquarters outgrew the 25,000 square foot location, and relocated to its new home in 2019. The TerraPoint Agribusiness Centre is centrally located between Winkler and Morden in the heart of the prairies and houses 25,000 of possibilities. The staff of Precision Land Solutions has reached as high as 30 employees in peak seasons, and the team is still growing.
The business has expanded its offerings from drainage installation to now include full service agricultural water management. Its geographic coverage has grown from the Pembina Valley to include much of Southern Manitoba and across Canada’s prairie regions. Precision Land Solutions now boasts over 15 years of tile drainage experience, with more than 60,000,000 feet installed.
